Vintage 1932 Collector's Card of Manfred von Brauchitsch (1905 - 2003), winning the 1932 Avus Rennen.
On May 22, 1932 von Brauchitsch won in the privately entered Mercedes Benz SSKL Streamliner, setting a world speed record for the class with over 200 KM/H.
This pre-war card is in mint condition and measures 2.75 x 4 inches. It was issued by German margarine manufacturer "Sanella" and was intended for their "Handbuch des Sports" or "Handbook of Sports".
A nice touch is that the back of the card promises that, starting February 1933, they will open up a swap center so that you could complete your collection!

An absolutely stunning original 1935 Mercedes "Werksphoto" or "Factory issued photo" of Rudolf Caracciola on his way to winning the 1935 Belgian Grand Prix at Spa-Francorchamps.
This is a vintage photo, numbered 22230.
The captions reads as follows (freely translated):
'Rudolf Caracciola battling for the "Grand Prix of Begium" held on the 14th of July 1935 in which he achieve a marvellous double victory with Manfred von Brauchitsch'

Vintage ca. 1939 autographed fan card of Dick Seaman (1912 - 1939).
Richard, or "Dick", was a works driver for the Mercedes-Benz team in 1939 when he crashed badly in La Source hairpin at the 1939 Grand Prix of Belgium at Spa.
His car burst into flames and although he was rescued from the flames, he died of his injuries before midnight, June 25, 1939.
Signed items by Seaman are VERY rare and we are happy to be able to offer for sale this excellent quality signed card.

Signed Repro of 1939 photo of Manfred von Brauchitsch (1905 - 2003) at Reims.
This is a modern repro of a great aerial shot of de W154 Mercedes of von Brauchitsch and Hermann Lang coming out of the Thillois hairpin at the French Grand Prix of 1939, held at Reims circuit.
The repro was consequently signed by von Brauchitsch.
So to recap: Repro photo with original signature.
Von Brauchitsch didn't finish the race as he blew a piston on lap 17.
Lang faced the same fate in lap 36 handing the victory to Hermann Paul Müller in the Auto Union.

Vintage 1955 Pierre Levegh Photo, Le Mans 24 Hours Disaster.
This is a vintage 1955 photo of Pierre Levegh, casualy leaning on the hood of a Mercedes-Benz road car prior to the 1955 running of the 24 Heures du Mans.
Levegh's Mercedes 300 SLR would plough into the main grandstand at the start finish line after a mere 34 laps at around 18.26H local time, instantly killing Levegh (real name Pierre Bouillin) before the eyes of his wife and 82 spectators. It is widely considered to be the worst accident in motorracing history.
Images of Levegh outside his racing car are rare and this is a great opportunity to acquire a VINTAGE photo of the man.
It measures some 18 x 24 cm of 7 x 9.5 inches.
The race was won by Mike Hawthorn and Ivor Bueb in their Jaguar D-Type (S/N XKD505) with a total of 307 laps to their name.

It is widely considered to be the worst motorracing accident in history.
It measures some 17 x 23 cm of 5.75 x 9.5 inches.
1955 Le Maine Libre Le Mans Poster - Fangio - Mercedes 300 SLR.
Issued by Le Maine Libre, a local Le Mans newspaper, in 2006 it shows Grand Master Juan Manuel Fangio at the wheel of the # 19 Mercedes-Benz 3002 SLR (S/N 0007/55) while being chased by the # 6 Jaguar D-Type of Hawthorn / Bueb (Mike Hawthorn at the wheel; they would win this race) and the # 4 Ferrari 121 LM of Castellotti & Marzotto who are in the process of overtaking the # 34 Bristol 450C of Wilson & Mayers.
1955 was of course the year of the biggest catastrophy ever at Le Mans and following the accident of Pierre Levegh, all Mercedes cars were withdrawn from the race.

Jan also competed in the ITC class, winning the opening round at Hockenheim and finishing 10th in the championship. Simultaneous Jan was test driver for the McLaren-Mercedes Formula One team.
